Hand Held Terminal for Remote Data Collection and Communication:
When you have no power and no telephone lines but need to record, alter and transmit data,
our hand held terminals are your best option. Specifically built to suit the Indian conditions, the Oriole Communication Terminal unit's ruggedness, compact size and ease of use allow it to be easily used & understood by non-technical users on the field.
Our portable data Entry units store data in its internal memory for uploading to a host computer at a
later time through a standard RS-232 serial port. An optional barcode scanner delivers fast and accurate data collection. User memory is backed up by a battery to allow retention of data even after power is cut off. Data once entered may be easily displayed, changed or edited using simple keyboard commands.
The hand held terminal is used to collect and transfer data conveniently and has myriads of applications including inventory tracking, route accounting, order entry, electric meter reading, and other remote data collection applications.
Table Top Terminals for Weight Bridge Applications:
The Oriole Intelligent Terminal is a state of art low powered micro-computer terminal designed for use
in rugged industrial environments and for outdoor unattended operations. This IT provides a single work station where weighbridge data is processed against suppliers, materials, cost etc.
This microprocessor based IT has a ROM-RAM based system which ensures that data is not lost when the system is switched off. The digitized analogue weight from the load cells is displayed and data may also be sent to the processing printer.
This unit can be used in any environment where the weighing unit is in a remote location and data needs to be transferred to the central database. E.g. pharma industry, cement industry, chemical industry, process control systems, bio-medical fields etc.
Hand Held Terminal for On-line Data Entry Terminal:
The Oriole Data Entry Terminal is a robust small unit and an ideal solution for applications requiring
data entry speed & accuracy. Information is entered via a keypad (or an optional bar code scanner or
any other secondary serial device) and is processed and stored in the Data Entry Terminal. Internally stored data or computer generated prompts and instructions is displayed on the terminals LCD screen.
The Oriole Data Entry Terminals easily interface to any host computer via an RS-232 serial communications port. An optional RS-422 compatible interface will allow multiple terminals to be
connected in a network.
Hand Held Terminal for Programming and
as a Diagnostic tool for PLCs:
The Oriole handheld terminal has been customized to be used as programming devices for PLCs to enable users to carry out parameter settings, configurations, and monitor diagnostic faults depending upon the application software. Our unit provides a clear-text display for commissioning, status display, and search for current faults.
Hand Held Terminal as a Device Driver:
For every new driver introduced, one cannot always expect the host OS to know how to control that driver. In such cases the Oriole Device Driver Terminal is programmed as device driver by writing the specific application software and used to translate the OS (DDT) mandated function calls into driver specific calls. The DDT will ensure that the device functions correctly and in is conveniently controlled by a small hand held terminal.
Hand Held Terminal as a CNC Data Code Loader:
The Oriole CNC data code loader eliminates the need for a computer or laptop to be present on your
shop floor. Programs written in the comfort of an office can now easily be downloaded onto our hand
held portable terminal and loaded on your CNC machine.
This rugged, light weight terminal has been designed for all types of CNC systems with an easy to use RS232 connectivity. The keypad enables changes to be made easily edit and the same is displayed on
the LCD screen.
